Thank you very much to everyone who tried out for a part in the Christmas Panto this afternoon. We had a great turn-out and it looks to be a fantastic cast. The script is being finalized as I type this message. Eight weeks of hard work ahead...

Christmas Panto auditions

On December 13th and 14th 2008, the Phnom Penh Players are performing the Christmas Panto for the 12th year in a row. It's the biggest theater production of the year in Phnom Penh. For this we need backstage crew and actors OF ALL AGES.

There are 15 parts in this play, ranging from 4 lines to well over a 100 lines. Coming Saturday, October 18th, we will have auditions at ISPP Main Campus, #158, Norodom Blvd. The audition schedule:
- 2:00 to 2:45PM - Junior actors/singers/dancers (ages 6 to 11)
- 2:45 to 4:30ish - Actors ages 12 to 85 (amongst others we need 4 male actors 35+)
NOTE: Junior-Junior actors (ages 4 to 7) do NOT need to audition, just send an email to: PhnomPenhPlayers@hotmail.com
Backstage crew is needed for set building, props, costumes, lights & sounds etc etc. Just send an email.

We start the next day (Sunday) with a read-through and will rehearse 2 times a week until the performance date, with a break during the Water Festival. Experience not needed (most of last year's actors were first-timers as well). Commitment for 8 weeks and a positive attitude is all we want.
